Census Bureau Reports Increased Voting and Registration in 2008

While we could have guessed it, the government has confirmed it with the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey, Voting and Registration Supplement. Increased voter turnout amongst African-American and youth between 2004 and 2008 indicate that the electorate has became more representative of the American citizenry. Disparities in turnout rates among various demographic categories decreased between 2004 and 2008.

  1. I think one problem is the love of the status quo in voting. For example, “I’m a Democrat”…pull the lever. …the same “type” is elected. Doesn’t “think outside the box” for real change…change to the system itself. I just posted on this; if you are interested, pls have a look.
