The Filmmakers

The producers/directors of this film, “Seriously Green”, Julie Eisenberg and Babette Hogan have life-long careers in journalism and documentary work.

Eisenberg has worked in television, video and film production as a writer, producer and still photographer. Growing up in Washington DC where politics is treated as the town’s team sport, Julie’s career focused on programs concerning the environment, energy conservation, health, housing and organized labor. Her documentary credits include Battle of the Alamo for Discovery Channel and a piece on Environmental Journalism that aired on PBS stations nationwide. Her photographs have appeared in Reader’s Digest, the London Times Sunday Magazine and other publications.

Hogan’s producer credits include the internationally award-winning “Smoke Screen” , “Firefighters in the Sky”, “Sunburst: Children Living with AIDS”, as well as several health care related training series. She has also worked in corporate video and commercials, both as talent and writer/producer. She has been the Assistant Director/Associate Producer for the internationally satellited program from “Bioneers” for the last two years and is the Coordinating Producer for a soon to be released documentary on Wikipedia.

  1. t seems to me you have a very interesting project going on. I wonder if you are documenting the history of the US Green party or the global green political movement. As a long time US Green (joined the New Haven Greens in 1987) and founding member of the Bucks County (PA) Greens I’m fascinated about how others might see the Green Party movement in the US.

In the ’80’s I was deeply influenced by the writings of Charlene Spretnak and Fritjof Capra (Green Politics). The two are considered as the founders of the Green Party in the US. I wonder to what extent you are referencing them as you trace the history of the Green Party (which I think has strayed considerably from the mark of late).
